Skills Driving School Terms and Conditions
1. General
Skills Driving School (we, our, us) offers professional driving instruction in manual and automatic vehicles in Gloucester and surrounding areas. By enrolling in our lessons, students (you, your) agree to the following terms and conditions.
2. Eligibility
– You must hold a valid provisional or full UK driving licence.
– Your licence must be physically present and shown to the instructor at the start of each lesson.
– You must be fit to drive. This includes being free from the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any medication that may impair driving ability.
– Students must maintain appropriate hygiene and cleanliness during lessons.
3. Lesson Booking and Cancellations
– A minimum of 48 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule any lesson. Cancellations or changes made within 48 hours of the scheduled time will be charged in full.
– Any requested changes to lesson times or dates must also be submitted at least 48 hours in advance.
– If you fail to attend a scheduled lesson without proper notice, the full lesson fee will apply.
4. Instructor Discretion
– Instructors reserve the right to cancel or terminate a lesson at any time if you are not deemed fit to drive (e.g., due to illness, fatigue, intoxication, or poor hygiene). In such cases, the lesson will be charged in full.
– Any abuse, aggressive behaviour, or inappropriate conduct directed at our instructors or staff will result in immediate termination of lessons without refund.
5. Test Readiness
– Students will only be presented for the practical driving test when an instructor has confirmed, in their professional opinion, that the student is test-ready.
– Booking a practical test independently does not guarantee that a student will be permitted to use a Skills Driving School vehicle for the test.
6. Liability
– Skills Driving School and its instructors will not be held responsible for any driving test delays, cancellations by the DVSA, or personal arrangements made by students outside of agreed lesson times.
– While every effort is made to ensure lessons start on time, circumstances such as traffic or emergency situations may occasionally cause delays.
7. Payments
– All payments must be made in advance:
– Single lessons must be paid at the time of booking via bank transfer.
– Block bookings must be paid via bank transfer no later than 3 days prior to the first scheduled lesson.
– If you prefer to pay in cash, payment must be made at the end of the previous lesson.
– The first lesson must always be paid via bank transfer at the time of booking no exceptions.
– No refunds will be issued for lessons missed or cancelled without the required notice.
